Why a techno night, comedy show, rooftop sundowner, and live-band gig should not use the same ticket tier logic.

Genre-Aware Ticket Pricing in India

Flat pricing ignores why people buy

Genre changes buying behavior. A comedy room may sell later but convert strongly near showtime. A techno night may move early if the artist has a defined fan base. A sundowner may depend more on group plans and weather. Pricing should reflect that reality.

Start with the buying curve

Ask when your fans normally commit. If they buy late, keep early-bird inventory small and use it as proof rather than revenue. If they buy early, give your first tier enough capacity to create visible momentum.

Do not overcomplicate the ladder

  • Use three public phases unless the event is large enough to justify more.
  • Keep each jump meaningful but not insulting.
  • Separate tables, VIP, and backstage access from normal entry.
  • Use promoter codes for attribution, not hidden discount chaos.

Where Hoizr AI helps

Hoizr can read event format, city, scale, ticket mix, and listing quality before quoting an event-specific commission rate. The same context helps hosts think about price tiers more honestly before publishing.
